Puratap Water Filters

Having traded from a Hi-flow unit installed by my kitchen renovator to a Puratap around two years ago, I can honestly say the Puratap is much much better.
1) I'm not having to change the filter myself. While some might assume that DIY filters are more convenient, for me it wasn't. For a start you have to go to a plumbing place to buy a new one (something easy to put off), and then you have to figure out how to disengage the filter from the housing under your sink. (not as easy as you would think).
2) The Hi-Flow filter was demonstrably more expensive than a Puratap changeover (almost twice as much). I think this is a bit rude to be honest considering I had to do the work changing over the Hi-flow myself, where on the other hand Puratap does it for us.
3) We bought a Puratap Mixer tap. (The Clarity).
We did this for two reasons. Firstly it looks nice. It's a clean design. We don't have multiple taps on the benchtop, so it adds to a clean uncluttered look in the kitchen.
Secondly, because the filtered water feed is separate from the normal cold water outlet we're not using filtered water for things like washing dishes etc.
It just makes more sense to use filtered water for what's meant - i.e. drinking mainly!
